Listed property developer Devine Limited has launched a new land release at its premium Sandstone Lakes Estate near Bribie Island, 44 kilometres north of Brisbane.
Devine purchased the partially-developed estate at Ningi in September for $38 million and has now released 61 new lots in response to strong demand for housing in the high-growth Brisbane to Sunshine Coast corridor.
Devine Communities Queensland General Manager Colin Boulton, said Sandstone Lakes Estate was an extremely attractive location for home-buyers, offering a rare combination of surfing beaches and still waters right on its doorstep.
“The estate is situated in a beautiful location, just four kilometres from Bribie Island, the only offshore Queensland island connected to the mainland by a bridge and the first true surf beach north of Brisbane,” he said.
“The Pumicestone Passage between the island and the mainland also offers some of the best boating and fishing waters in South East Queensland as well as still-water swimming at Goodwin Beach.
“These natural attractions are complemented by the appeal of absolute lakeside living at Sandstone Lakes Estate, with a limited supply of just 15 lots fronting the lake. Devine is also incorporating generous landscaping and well-considered public space amenities into the estate, including parks, bicycle-tracks and playgrounds.”
The latest release of large land lots in the master-planned Sandstone Lakes Estate range in size from 600 m2 to over 1,200 m2, with prices starting from around $189,000.
Quality home and land packages, featuring Devine’s new designer range of homes including stone kitchen bench tops and stainless steel appliances will start from approximately $389,900.
“This year Devine has rolled out its new range of ‘lifestyle’ homes, which combine clever use of space, quality finishes and value for money,” Mr Boulton said.
“The award-winning Monaco design is just one of many new designs which will be on offer at the Sandstone Lakes Estate.”
The three-bedroom Monaco home combines space, privacy and style and features two bathrooms, a double garage, two living areas and two alfresco areas.
“As well as its lifestyle attractions, Sandstone Lakes Estate also offers close proximity to Brisbane, with easy access to the Bruce Highway linking Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
The estate is also just 15 kilometres from Caboolture Railway Station, which offers regular services to Brisbane’s CBD with travel times between 46 minutes and one hour.
“Sandstone Lakes is a great location for families looking to enjoy the benefits of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, without the price tag or distance from Brisbane,” Mr Boulton said.
“It is also strategically located to benefit from the future growth and maturing of the Caboolture region and economy.”
Caboolture has been identified as a Principal Activity centre under the Queensland Government’s South East Queensland Regional Plan, which recognises it as a focal point of regional employment, residential development and transport infrastructure.
According to ABS projections, Caboolture Shire has a current population of just under 135,000 people, which is expected to increase between 193,000 and 235,000 by 2026.
“Given the strong lifestyle focus and location of Sandstone Lakes Estate and its strategic positioning in the fast-growing Brisbane to Sunshine Coast corridor, we are confident of a strong buyer response to this new release,” Mr Boulton said.
Devine plans to stage the development of Sandstone Lakes Estate over the next four years. The community will comprise up to 437 lots when completed in 2011.
